The convenience of buying pre-packaged food has, in the last few decades, been hindered by the growing presence of preservatives and artificial ingredients, not to mention trans-fats. At Rainbow Grocery Cooperative, we do not feel this is food at all! That’s why the Packaged Foods Department does not carry any products that contain any preservatives, artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners or hydrogenated oils, and we tend to favor organic and whole food.
Our raw foods section is extremely popular and worth checking out. We also get rave reviews about our chocolate selection. Our huge array of pastas and sauces, over a hundred types of olive oil, both local and imported, gourmet tapenades, more than 20 varieties of vegetarian jerky, lots of organic cereals, juices, nut butters, jams, everything you need for baking (we’ve even got organic marzipan!), as well as a huge assortment of coffee and tea make the Packaged Foods Department a sweet place to shop!
